While different fantasy football leagues can have various ways to keep track of scoring, the most frequently used scoring system is as follows. Each position has their own separate way of generating points that go toward gaining their total points. For quarterbacks, they receive 1 point for every 25 yards they throw, 4 points for every touchdown, and -2 points for every interception thrown. Quarterbacks can also receive 1 point for every ten rushing yards and 6 points for every rushing touchdown that they accumulate. The quarter backs rushing stats and the running back rushing stats are both accumulated in the same way. Although, running backs can also receive passing stats similar to the stats that wide receivers gain. Both running backs and wide receivers get 1 point for every ten receiving yards, 6 points for every receiving touchdown, and 2 points for every five receptions. Although offensive points are the easiest to come by, defense can also receive points. Defense starts off with ten points and gain lose points based on the amount of points they let the opposing offense score, or gain points for getting touchdowns, interceptions, fumble recoveries, or sacks. Finally, a efficient way to collect points is through the kicker position. For each extra point a kicker connects on you receive 1 point, and depending on the length of a field goal that they make, you can receive up to 6 points. By picking and choosing the players that you think are going to score the most fantasy football points each week, you will have a better chance at victory.
